Rare Vintage Very Fine Jewellery 14k Gold Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring UK Size Q

One of our most special finds, this ring has a beautiful, mid-blue Ceylon Sapphire surrounded by two rows of Swiss-cut diamonds and set in 14k yellow gold.

Ceylon Sapphires are highly prized, known for their stunning color and sparkle. Fun fact: Princess Diana's engagement ring is a Ceylon Sapphire, now owned by the Duchess of Cambridge. 

This ring's story is just as special as its design. Purchased by an English gent in 1992 from Premadasa, a renowned fine jeweller in Colombo, Sri Lanka, it was a gift for his wife. The original receipt, showing a purchase price of £1410 back in 1992 is included.

The price of gold per ounce in 1992 when this was purchased was £195/ounce. Today it is £1605/ounce.  With the price of gold, diamonds and sapphires skyrocketing since this was acquired, this ring offers exceptional value.

Stones: There is a central, oval-shaped Ceylon Sapphire in a rare and beautiful mid-blue hue.  This is further surrounded by 2 rows of brilliant white diamonds.
