The curb chain framing the stone is one of Chanel's most enduring house codes, drawn from the chain straps and belts Gabrielle Chanel introduced in the 1950s. Set against the turquoise, it makes for an unusually colourful piece from an era better known for gold and pearl.
The reverse carries the Chanel cartouche with the copyright and registered trademark marks and Made in France.
