£130.00These are authentic vintage Christian Dior clip-on earrings in gold-tone metal, formed as a half hoop worked in an open lattice.
The basketweave is pierced right through, so the earrings catch the light and read far lighter on the ear than their size suggests. The polished outer rails frame the weave cleanly, giving the pair a finished, jewellery-like quality rather than the flat stamped look of much costume jewellery from the period.
The clips are signed Chr. Dior with the copyright mark and Germany, identifying production by Henkel & Grosse of Pforzheim, who held the worldwide licence to make Dior jewellery for fifty years from 1955.
